چکیده
تصویرشناسی به عنوان یکی از شاخه های مهم ادبیات تطبیقی، نقش بسزایی در شناخت ملل و اقوام از یکدیگر ایفا می کند و از طریق بررسی تصویر دیگری در متون، به درک بهتر از فرهنگ ها کمک می کند. دیگری پنهان در متن، از طریق تحلیل لایه های زیرین تصاویری که نویسنده توصیف می کند، به تدریج روشن می شود. فرهنگ به عنوان یکی از مفاهیم اساسی در شناخت ملل دیگر، به ویژه در سفرنامه های فرهنگی و گردشی که به طور مستقیم شاهد آداب و رسوم، اخلاقیات و عادات مردم هستند، اهمیت بسیاری دارد. در پژوهش حاضر، با استفاده از روش توصیفی-تحلیلی، مهم ترین مفاهیم فرهنگی برای شناخت غرب در سفرنامه "اروپاگردی بر روی صخره های سیسیل" مورد بررسی قرار گرفته است. این سفرنامه از نظر نویسنده به لحاظ فرهنگی حائز اهمیت بوده و شامل ارائه نمونه هایی از متن سفرنامه است که به تحلیل آن مفاهیم می پردازد. علاوه بر این، نوع ارتباط و دیدگاه نویسنده در مواجهه با این فرهنگ ها بررسی و بیان شده است تا نشان دهد چطور تجربیات و مشاهدات او از سفر به غرب منجر به شکل گیری نگرشی خاص نسبت به فرهنگ های دیگر گردیده است. شفیق جبری، در مواجهه با فرهنگ غرب و دیگری، با تفاوت های فرهنگی عمیقی روبه رو می شود که بیشترین واکنش او احساس ترس، تنهایی و تعجب است. هرچند در برخی مواقع احساس شعف و تمایل به فرهنگ غربی نیز به او دست می دهد، اما این احساس به طرز قابل توجهی ناپایدار است و به سرعت جای خود را به نوعی غربت و تنهایی می دهد. او معتقد است که هرگز من شرقی اش قادر به ارتباط و الفت با فرهنگ دیگر غرب نخواهد بود. به همین دلیل، غرب را سراسر راز و رمز می داند و این نوع نگاهی که در او شکل گرفته، به روشنی بیان گر تعلق خاطر عمیق او به هویت شرقی اش است. احساسات متناقض او در رابطه با فرهنگ غرب، نه تنها نشان دهنده چالش های او در درک و پذیرش این فرهنگ است، بلکه تأکیدی بر ارزش ها و باورهای ریشه داری است که در فرهنگ شرقی اش نهفته است و به او احساس هویت و آرامش می بخشد.The image of the "other" culture in the travelogue "Journey to Europe on the rocks of Sicily" by Shafiq Jabri
Imagery, as one of the important branches of comparative literature, plays a significant role in understanding nations and ethnicities from each other and contributes to a better understanding of cultures through examining the image of the (other) in texts. The (other) hidden in the text gradually becomes clear through the analysis of the underlying layers of the images the author describes. Culture is of great importance as one of the fundamental concepts in understanding other nations, especially in cultural and travel travelogues that directly witness the customs, morals, and habits of the people. In the present study, using a descriptive-analytical method, the most important cultural concepts for understanding the West in the travelogue "Journey to Europe on the rocks of Sicily" have been examined. This travelogue is culturally significant to the author, and includes examples from the travelogue that analyze those concepts. In addition, the author's type of communication and perspective in encountering these cultures is examined to determine how his experiences and observations from traveling to the West led to the formation of a specific attitude towards other cultures. Shafiq Jabri, in his encounter with Western and other cultures, encounters profound cultural differences, and his most frequent reaction is a feeling of fear, loneliness, and surprise. Although at times he also feels a sense of joy and desire for Western culture, this feeling is remarkably unstable and quickly turns into a kind of alienation and loneliness. He believes that his Eastern self will never be able to connect and bond with the other culture of the West. For this reason, he considers the West to be full of mystery and mystery, and as a result, this view clearly expresses his deep attachment to his Eastern identity. His conflicting feelings about Western culture not only reflect his challenges in understanding and accepting this culture, but also emphasize the deep-rooted values and beliefs that lie within his Eastern culture and give him a sense of identity and comfort.
