چکیده
هدف: پژوهش حاضر درصدد ارزیابی ترجمه ی آکادمیک چکیده فارسی به انگلیسی و ارائه ی مدلی برای چگونگی تعیین سطح ترجمه در پژوهش های محققان است. روش شناسی: این پژوهش از نوع کاربردی و به شیوه پیمایشی انجام گرفته است. جهت ارزیابی نوشتار از نمره دهی تحلیلی باچا-ژاکوب شامل پنج جزء محتوا، سازماندهی، دستور زبان، کاربرد واژگان و علائم سجاوندی بهره برده شد. 127 نمونه چکیده پایان نامه کارشناسی ارشد رشته علم اطلاعات و دانش شناسی در چهار دانشگاه دولتی (تهران، فردوسی مشهد، شهیدچمران اهواز و قم) مورد ارزیابی قرار گرفت. پایایی پژوهش با استفاده از ضریب همبستگی پیرسون 7/90% بدست آمد. یافته ها: بالاترین نمره کسب شده در چکیده های انگلیسی به ترتیب برای بخش محتوا (65/23%)، سازماندهی (28/15%)، دستور زبان (10/14% )، علائم سجاوندی (92/3% ) و کاربرد واژگان (8/13%) گزارش شد. نمره نهایی چکیده های انگلیسی این پژوهش ، 75/70% بدست آمد. نتیجه گیری: نتایج این پژوهش، حاکی از آن است که سطح نوشتار چکیده انگلیسی در مقطع کارشناسی ارشد رشته علم اطلاعات و دانش شناسی در جایگاه متوسط قرار دارد. درواقع غالب "محتوای" چکیده ها قابل فهم برای عامه است اما بخش های دیگر احتیاج به توجه بیشتری دارند.The most common errors in English abstracts in MA theses: The case of Knowledge and Information Science
Purpose: This study attempted to compare the Persian and English abstracts in MA theses and to provide a model for determining the accuracy of the abstract translations in MA theses in Knowledge and Information Science (KIS). Methodology: The sample included 127 abstracts of MA theses in KIS from four Iranian state universities (University of Tehran, Shahid Chamran University, Ferdowsi University, and University of Qom).The scoring model adopted is based on Bacha (2001), emerging from Jacobs et al. (1981) ESL Composition Profile, which consists of five categories: Content, organization, language use, vocabulary, and mechanics. The abstracts compiled were scored in line with the scale above, showing a high inter-rater reliability (%90.7). Findings: The analyses reported scores in the following order for content (%65/23), organization (% 28/15), language use (%10/14), mechanics (%92/3), and vocabulary (%8/13). The total grade of the abstracts investigated in this study is (%70/75). Results: The findings indicate that translation of the English abstracts of MA theses in KIS is at the intermediate level. The content of the abstracts are acceptable; however, other aspects of the abstracts need due consideration.
